Hi Pawents,
Do you often feel frustrated over your dog's shedding? If you are looking for a tool to help you remove their dead coat while on-the-go, or a temporary solution before you send them to shower. This might be the perfect tool for you.

The KONG ZoomGroom is the best grooming and shampooing brush available. It removes loose hair like a magnet, and it stimulates capillaries and natural oil production for healthy skin and a healthy coat.

Perfect for removing hair and use with shampoo and massages while you brush. It is made in the USA and comes in two colors, raspberry and boysenberry. It is available in two sizes: small/puppy and regular. The one that you are seeing on my photos are small.

These brushes will not help dogs with long and smooth or curly coats such as Shih Tzu, Maltese, and Poodles. However, If your dog is a Shiba Inu, Mongrel, French Bull dog or Pug which is shedding, these would definitely help you.

I tested the brush on my Shiba Inu customer and it worked for him. Look at the amount of coat that was removed from him. It took me about an hour to remove this amount of fur.

Look at him grinning with contentment after the undercoat removal session. De matting and removal of undercoat is an expensive and time-consuming process, so do spare your groomers the time if you can get the right tools and do it yourself on your fidos on a regular basis. This can save your quite an amount of money and ensure that your fido's hair are not flying all over the place.

Next, I tested this tool on a Golden Retriever customer. As you can see from the photograph, it did not work as well.

This blue brush however, works very well on majority of the dog breeds including poodles, Shih Tzu, Golden Retrievers, Shiba Inu etc. I have used this tool on the same Shiba Inu as well.

I would usually use this to demat dogs with tangled fur as it is a time saver. The only disadvantage is the size of it and the force you use. If you brush the fido too hard, their skin will have rashes, so it is recommended that you be gentle with the fido and ask your groomer to shave your dogs shorter if they are severely matted.

There are many brushing and combing tools in the market so make sure you select the correct brushes for the correct purposes!

In general, use slicker brushes brushing in an upwards motion during blow drying, layer by layer to fluff your fido's fur, followed by a comb to check and comb out the remaining tangles. Use pin brush only for long coated breed dogs like a Maltese or smooth coated Poodle.

Do your homework before you purchase the right set of tools for your grooming needs. Using the wrong tools and incorrectly will cause abrasion on your fido's skin.
